Another Successful Christmas Magic Appeal in Dalton, Huddersfield (2025)

Dalton Together and Moldgreen United Reformed Church would like to reach out to our partners, local businesses and residents to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported and helped to bring about another successful Christmas Magic Appeal in 2025 – “Together we make good things happen”

With the help of Sue Carter who co-ordinated this enormous operation and the financial support from our 3 local Dalton Council Ward Councillors; Munir Ahmed, Tyler Hawkins and Musarrat Khan, local businesses; Syngenta, FMG Huddersfield, Metro Cars Moldgreen, Mackness Co-op Funeralcare Moldgreen, Kirkheaton PCC… making it possible to deliver another Christmas Appeal for our community.

We also would like to like to mention the generosity of local residents who also kindly donated for families within our community.

Syngenta staff also held a toy appeal and donated some wonderful toys for the appeal.

How many residents did we help?

We reached out to 103 families/households in the Dalton Council Ward with gifts for 380 adults/children.

What did our goodies bags contain for families?

Our goodie bags contained, chocolate items, non perishable food items, gifts and toys for every person in the home, a supermarket voucher, and gift vouchers for the teenagers.

Volunteers involved in the Magic Appeal?

Again, we had great support from our community this included 40+ volunteers both on the setting up, packing day and working behind the scenes during the year to deliver another successful Christmas Magic Appeal to our local community.

Your time, effort, kindness and generosity made a real difference to the appeal.

Our volunteers shopped for key items, collected donated items, wrapped numerous gifts up, helped set up on the day and packed the goodie bags ready for collection.

Plans are already being discussed for 2026 and we will be collecting new items all year round for all ages.
