    Dalton Together welcomes local community groups, volunteers, partner organisations and local businesses to our upcoming partnership gathering.

    This is an opportunity for us all to network, get to know each other and let everyone know about all the great things that are happening across the Dalton Ward. These meetings also give us the space to problem solve together so we can better respond to community needs.

    Dalton Together can also provide support and funding to local residents and groups that want to make good things happen in their area so please come along and chat to like minded folk – we would love to hear about your ideas…. Everyone is welcome to get involved.

  • Half-Term Football Camp

    • 1 June – 9:30 am – 3:00 pm

    ⚽ The Huddersfield Town Foundation is running a four-day football camp for 5-11 year olds during June Half Term!

    Whether your child has never kicked a football before or would like further training to enhance their skills, our FA qualified coaches are on hand to provide the support they need.

    The camp runs from 1 June to 4 June, with each day starting at 9.30am and finishing at 3pm.

    Children will be kept in strict bubbles in line with COVID-19 guidance and will need to bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink throughout the day.

  • Sponsor Greenfields at the Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge

    • 10 July – 10:00 am –

    The dragon boat racing will be as exciting as ever – with several cups up for grabs from a revised, more competitive format and Greenfields Dalton have entered a team.  There will be plenty of entertainment, activities and attractions for a great family day out.  A fantastic festival atmosphere around the park is guaranteed, especially if the sun is shining!  So come along for a great day out, whilst supporting Greenfields by sponsoring their team.  All sponsor money will be used to help sustain the Foodbank at Greenfields.

    What does the event include?

    The Dragon Boat Challenge will consist of each team racing 3 times during the day. The final will be between the 6 teams with the best aggregate times, racing head-to-head to see who is crowned the winner and take the Stuart Wardell Memorial Trophy to keep for one year. There will also be a lady’s final between the 4 fastest teams consisting of at least 50% ladies.

    Teams are encouraged to dress as outlandishly as possible with a Best Dressed Trophy awarded on the day.

    There is lots to see and do on the day and whether you are a team member or have come along to support a team or charity, you’re guaranteed to have a great time.
