Dalton Together “Together We Make Good Things Happen” Celebration Event

Dalton Together welcomed Dalton Ward residents (of all ages), local community groups/volunteers, partner organisations and services to attend our “Together we make good things happen” celebration event which happened on Wednesday 9th March 2022.
A big thank you to all of the residents, local community groups/volunteers, partner organisation and services that were in attendance, making this a successful and enjoyable evening. A special thank you goes to TSL Volunteering Kirklees for helping to organise the event.
What happened at the event
- We celebrated the amazing work local groups and volunteers undertook during this pandemic in our community.
- Made local residents aware of community activities on offer and volunteering opportunities on their doorstep.
- Refreshments and light buffet lunch provided to everyone in attendance.
- 29 organisations/services!
- Interactive activities from services.
- Lots of freebies to take home on the day including Aldi gift cards for residents.
Residents and Organisation Feedback
- 100% of residents said they enjoyed the event!
- 82% of residents said they will try something new because of this event.
- 100% of organisations said the event was useful for networking.
- 83% of the organisations in attendance rated the event as excellent.
