Dalton Together Ward Partnership Meeting – 24th September 2024

Dalton Together welcomes partners, services, local community groups/volunteers, youth organisations, schools and faith organsiations to our upcoming partnership gathering.

This is an opportunity for us all to network, get to know each other and let everyone know about all the great things that are happening across the Dalton Ward. These meetings also give us the space to problem solve together so we can better respond to community needs.

Please note: This meeting is not an open public meeting and is face to face at 11am to 1pm – Kirkheaton Community Centre, Fields Rise, Kirkheaton, Huddersfield, HD5 0LZ. Refreshments on arrival from 10.45am.

Ashbrow Parent’s Advocacy Network Launch Event

APAN is a brand-new community-led organisation dedicated to empowering parents and advocating for the well-being of every child. The network offers a community-led resource for parents and caregivers in both the Ashbrow Ward and the wider Kirklees community.

Though a dedicated platform, APAN provides advocacy for parents across a wide variety of areas, including schools and the police. APAN also represents the community in collaborative partnerships to address institutional racism and historical issues and promote trust and inclusivity.

KLTV will be hosting a special launch event in October 2024. The launch event will invite both the public and delegates of organisations from the private, public and community sectors to gather and discuss the issues that parents and children are facing at a community level.

Those in attendance will have the opportunity to learn about APAN and the services that the network will offer to both parents, schools and other institutions across Kirklees.
